I like to make almost everything homemade, and pizza is one of them, so here is my favorite pizza crust recipe made with 100% whole grain oats!

Ingredients:

-2 1/2 cups of oat flour

-1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil

-1 tbsp of unpasteurized honey

-1 cup of warm water

-1 package (.25 ounces) of active dry yeast

-1/2 tsp of salt

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400˚ C

In a bowl, combine warm water and yeast and let the mixture stand for about 10 minutes or until the yeast looks creamy.

In the meantime, combine 2 cups of oat flour and salt in a separate bowl. Form a well in the flour blend and add olive oil and honey as well as the water/yeast mixture.

Combine thoroughly either in a food processor, with a wooden spoon, a stand mixture, or simply by hand. If the mixture is too runny, feel free to add extra oat flour, but be sure not to over mix!

Using the extra 1/2 cup of oat flour to prevent sticking, use a rolling pin to roll out the dough either into a couple small pizzas or 1 large one, this makes enough for at least 2 people maybe even three or four!

Bake the crust for approximately 10 minutes or until slightly golden and dryer looking.

* Please note that this dough is more delicate then regular pizza dough so don’t expect a large fluffy pizza. This recipe creates more of a rustic and thin crust pizza, which I personally love!

Now, for toppings, be creative! Add whatever it is that you like best, chicken, pineapple, artichoke hearts, olives, skim milk mozzarella cheese, peppers or mushrooms, you can even make homemade sauce with fresh tomatoes… Mmmm!

Once your pizza is ready, bake it once more on a parchment paper lined pan until the cheese has melted and is golden brown. If you didn’t put cheese, bake it for about 30-40 minutes depending on the size of your pizza.

Enjoy & Stay Healthy
